I can confirm this is true. A lot of people think getting under 1,000 views means they’re shadowbanned, but that’s usually not the case. It’s simply because your content isn’t good enough yet.

As shown in the image below, even if you’re a real person posting from a real device with a real IP, if your content doesn’t match the current trend, your views can still stay low like normal.

I’ve had many accounts get 0 views or under 500 views, but once I stopped posting and changed the content, the views came back strong.

That’s why, with TikTok, we need volume to increase the chances of going viral.

Even if you know what youre doing UGC is non-deterministic by nature

Just look at @PlaykitUGC UGC creators, 9/10 of them are mostly at <5k views per video. Even their best creators like Jess do not hit consistent 5k views per video.

UGC relies on high volume to work.

The wins are in virality where one viral hit of 100K-1M video format makes up for all the low views in the other videos.
