The new Air Force One ✈️ is so big they had to shrink a golf course just to give it somewhere to park.
The next presidential jet (a giant Boeing 747-8) turned out to be too large for the existing Air Force One hangar at Joint Base Andrews.
So the Air Force built it a brand-new home: a 380,000-square-foot complex reportedly costing around $320 million, complete with its own fuel system, backup power and hardened infrastructure.
To make room the base had to cut its golf course from 54 holes down to 45.
This is the new hangar located right next to the old one.
