Strong public schools don’t happen by accident. They exist because we choose to invest in them.
I know that firsthand. I came through Plano ISD as a student who spoke very little English when I first walked into the classroom. Public school educators gave me more than an education. They made sure I had a place, a voice, and the opportunity to succeed.
Today, those same schools welcome students from around the world, with more than 90 languages spoken across districts like Plano ISD.
At the Texas Democratic Convention, I spoke about what it means to stand up for those students and for the future of public education at a time when our schools face growing challenges and political division.
If you believe every Texas child deserves access to a strong public education, I’d be grateful for your support as we continue this work: secure.actblue.com/donate/pl…
