Brief

Octra Labs announced on 2026-07-05 that the updated litenode has been moved to github.com/octra-labs/litenode. The release—designed as a full validator node for low-power devices (old laptops, phones, Raspberry Pi)—plus the web client (github.com/octra-labs/webcli) and pvac-hfhe POC (github.com/octra-labs/pvac_hfhe) largely completes mainnet beta preparation, with security, papers, nodes and tooling still pending.

Octra Labs has open-sourced the lite node, the web client (github.com/octra-labs/webcli) and the pvac-hfhe proof-of-concept (github.com/octra-labs/pvac_hfhe), stating these complete most preparations for mainnet beta and that external validators will be able to connect after the upgrade.

Remaining work includes web client security, a formal HFHE paper, a mainnet network whitepaper, regular and bootstrap nodes, dev tooling and app-layer work; lambda0xE said the public GitHub will match the internal repo, new VM policies were merged, and a major webcli update is coming.

important to note that it is not a conventional "light node" that only downloads headers, but rather a full validator node reserved for smaller devices and tasks that don't involve heavy compute: old laptops, mobile phones and raspberry pi.

with the open sourcing of the lite node, the web client and the pvac-hfhe proof of concept, most of the stages of preparation for mainnet beta are complete. external validators will be able to connect to the network after the upgrade.

work remains on web client security, the release of a formal hfhe paper, the mainnet network whitepaper, regular and bootstrap nodes, dev tooling & app layer. a roadmap update will be published separately.

dear community, the lite node will now be publicly available directly on GitHub (the internal version will match the public one exactly), we have also decided to merge the new VM policies along with these commits, a big webcli update is coming now
