Security's whole defense used to be a time lag. Ship the code, wait for a scanner to flag the holes, patch before anyone could exploit them. Attackers needed days of research to find an exploitable hole. You had weeks. The weeks were the whole defense.
AI just closed that gap. The research phase that took an attacker days now takes minutes. A faster scanner won't save you here. Once both sides run the same models, speed stops being anyone's edge. Whoever ships clean wins. Whoever ships fast and hopes gets found.
So the fix moves upstream. Stop shipping the vulnerability. Rebuild images continuously so CVEs never pile up. Attach SBOMs and SLSA provenance so you always know exactly what's shipping.
Detection had a good run. Prevention wins from here.
