What is a live front pad-mounted transformer?

One of the biggest differences is that a live front transformer contains exposed high-voltage components and fuses. These components remain energized under normal operating conditions, and a fuse can operate (blow) unexpectedly during a fault, creating an extremely hazardous environment. Understanding these differences is essential for anyone working around electrical distribution equipment.
