one thing that is interesting to me is that once the ai labs are public, the market volatility might actually be insane. & possibly insane to deal with if you're a lab exec or employee (an argument to be made for maybe even delaying ipo to some extent).
e.g. every new model launch, open source breakthrough, news about chinese distillation on arr, price cuts, margin compression, or competing product could move tens of billions in market value instantly. these companies are privately priced like durable platforms today while operating inside one of the fastest moving tech environments in history.
public markets are not remotely prepared for that cadence of existential repricing. start your engines everyone.

Why, if accurate, is no one reporting why nobody bought the private Anthropic portion SALP tried to sell?
