usually if you've tried & tried & tried to fix a problem, you probably have the wrong lens on the problem entirely
the best thing to do is stop "trying harder"
sounds counterintuitive but...
friendship: how do I make more friends ➡️ how do I stop resisting closeness?
dating: how to find a long-term girlfriend ➡️how do I show up more authentically so the right partner can even find me?
what would it look like if you stopped
"trying harder?"
"swimming upstream?"
"resisting the natural flow?"
& to find a new perspective on the problem entirely

“Think about the people you know who are in unhappy situations, whether professional or personal. How many do you think need to try harder, vs how many simply have the wrong approach? People’s problems are generally created by their approaches, which is why trying harder tends to just drive them in deeper.”
