Brief

Dillon Loomis argues a Tesla–SpaceX merger would become a long-term home run by 2030–2035 through intensified vertical integration, streamlined operations and cross-company problem solving. He claims SpaceX is already on solid financial footing (CSAs + current balance sheet) and that further gains come from scaling data-center processes and terrestrial efficiency ("Starmind + Nvidia").

Why it matters

@DillonLoomis (posted 2026-08-05) argues a combined Tesla + SpaceX by 2030 and 2035 would be defined by decades-long vertical integration, flat operating structure, cross-pollinated problem solving and relentless efficiency to maximize economies of scale.

Key details

  • He asserts SpaceX will be financially sound after its earnings—citing CSAs and the current balance sheet—and that growth chiefly requires scaling proven, data-center-like processes and terrestrial efficiency gains (he cites 'Starmind + Nvidia').
  • Loomis says he is now officially supportive of a merger/acquisition pending a reasonable offer, urges action 'ASAP' to end speculation, references $TSLA and $SPCX, and highlights AleXandra Merz’s line: 'Full stack. Full circle. The Everything Company.'

Listen I don't care where you fall right now with the Tesla x SpaceX merger and the valuation debate and fairness etc.

I just need you to at least pause momentarily and imagine SpaceX + Tesla as one combined entity in 2030...

In 2035...

What has the boiled down story been for decades at both companies? Vertical integration + efficiency. Delete unnecessary parts + streamline everywhere. Maximize economies of scale. Flat operating structure internally and cross pollinating problem solving

And after SpaceX's earnings, they will be doing just fine financially with the CSAs + current balance sheet. A business model which by the way, really only requires a further buildout of a process that's already proven at scale (data centers)

One that clearly has headroom to become more efficient (Starmind + Nvidia terrestrially)

You just can't argue that long-term this wouldn't be a home run slam dunk move for investors. No matter what happens, just don't miss the forest for the trees. NFA

And at this point I have to admit, I am now fully (officially) supportive of a merger/acquisition in theory (pending a reasonable offer)

And while we're here, if this is going to happen let's get it moving ASAP so we can all stop speculating and move forward $TSLA $SPCX

Full stack. Full circle.

The Everything Company.
