"We built a way to fully integrate their product and customer base in the span of 12 months."
Deel CEO @Bouazizalex reveals his M&A playbook:
› For the first 3 months, Deel builds on the acquired company’s backend: This lets them launch a usable version of the product in 1-1.5 months.
› They train salespeople while rebuilding the product in parallel: It takes 9-12 months for a sales team to feel confident selling a new product. By getting a first version live in month 1, they can start training immediately.
› Over the next ~11 months, they rebuild the full backend of the product.
› By month 12, the team is ready to sell and show the product.
"Most companies would rebuild a product for 12 months, then show it to their go-to-market team, and then have another lag of 9-12 months before the company is actually able to sell their product."
