Every privacy training says the same thing: do not paste sensitive information into AI. Fine. It is correct. It is also where the advice stops, and that is exactly where your real problem starts.
Because the work does not go away. The contract still needs a risk review. The performance review still needs writing. You can talk your thoughts into a dictation tool, but it still has to be organized into something usable. Sensitive work is still work. So when the only "safe" option on offer is to do all of it by hand, or to just not use AI on the stuff that would benefit most, the warning has not solved anything. It has quietly handed the problem back to you and called it guidance. The real answer is a way to strip out the name, the address, the number, the thing that actually makes a file sensitive, so the model can help with everything else.
