It’s so fucked up that we lost the technology for digging big holes in the ground to store water in 1992. Imagine how useful that water would be now.

Many parts of southern England measured 0mm of rainfall during July, the first time this has happened since records began in 1871.
The next two weeks don’t offer much hope of rain either with high pressure building back in.
The drought continues.
