jeff dean - employee #30 at google, been there 27 years and key to every single google product (search, ML, tpus, gemini etc)
he famously founded the $100B+ TPU division by doing napkin math on what it would take to serve google voice to every user (2x google's data centers).
sanjay ghemawat - the only other senior fellow at google and jeff's right-hand man. they've single-handedly built the foundations of every google product,
oriol vinyals - was the vp of research at deepmind and lead for gemini. authored the pinnacle paper that led to llms.
quoc le - also early author on key research that led to the creation of the modern day LLM.
imagine the models and systems these guys are going to build.

I am very excited to announce that, along with my longtime friends and collaborators @Sanjay_Ghemawat, @OriolVinyalsML and @quocleix, we are founding Discovery Loop (@DiscoLoopAI), a Public Benefit Corporation whose mission is to automate machine learning, science, and engineering to accelerate discoveries and progress. The four of us have worked together for 14 to 30 years, and have helped build some of the world’s most used products, infrastructure and AI models, and we’re excited to turn our attention to this ambitious endeavor.
