if you're building a vertical AI agent startup the key is not connecting a harness to a bunch of existing tools. that problem is hyper commoditized.
you need a product coupled to it that is genuinely unique and can stand on its own as something valuable.
the agent layer, with the iMessage interface, that's the cherry on top.
but if I had to pick, I'd rather have the innovative product without the agent than the agent without the innovative product.
