I’ve spent the last year going very deep on biology for 4 to 5 hours a day (specifically neurobiology, biophysics, cellular / molecular and the very over-rated yet partially descriptive piece of the puzzle: genetics).
I still consider myself a dilettante, but as a software person for 20+ years, it’s pretty shocking how quickly you can become top 1% smart on these things by putting in a solid year of effort. Especially with the AI as 24/7 tutors.
