As a bootstrapped founder, the most important thing I can get is customer feedback.
One feature customers consistently requested was better operator intelligence in Wells Intelligence. They wanted to do operator research quickly: find contact information, view wells, download production history.
For me, customer feedback like this goes straight to the top of the development queue. With AI, I can iterate on requests faster, and make modifications quickly if features don't land.
I think this enables a "missing middle" of SaaS products - products built to fit one specific segment of a market.
Huge SaaS products can't iterate quickly on customer requests. Smaller ones can be built to respond to a smaller, dedicated customer base, and can stay profitable as AI reduces development costs.
That request went from customer email to shipped feature in less than a week. That's simply not happening in a mega-SaaS product.
