I was sitting on a bench at Walmart when I noticed this girl who couldn’t have been more than 11 years old, just quietly sitting there and braiding her hair while waiting for her mom. A grown man walked over, looked at her, and said, “Hey baby, what else can you do with those hands?” She smiled so politely and replied, “Strangle you.” His face dropped, and he turned around and walked away without another word. I didn’t even know her, but I was so proud of that little girl.
