Brief

Dillon Loomis spent a full day researching and editing an Electrified video with enhanced visuals and music, but Adobe Premiere froze during export and, after quitting, seemingly corrupted the project and its auto-saves. Multiple recovery attempts with Grok failed, so he cancelled tonight's upload (post dated 2026-08-08) and decided to step away and spend time with his wife.

Why it matters

Dillon Loomis spent all day producing an Electrified video (added visuals and royalty-free music) but Adobe Premiere froze during export; he waited about ten minutes with no export screen appearing.

Key details

  • Quitting Premiere appears to have written an empty/broken state over the project and all auto-save files, and recovery attempts (including using Grok) failed to restore the edited sequence.
  • He announced there will be no upload tonight (2026-08-08 post) and will not re-edit immediately, choosing instead to let it go and spend time with his wife.
Source evidence

I spent all day working on today's Electrified video. Did as much research as I could. Even spent more time than usual editing with some cool visuals and royalty free music

I go to export as usual but Premiere freezes. I sit there and click around for about ten minutes waiting for it. Nothing. The export screen just won't show up

So I quit Premiere because I had the project saved and figured a reset would open it right back up and everything would be fine

As it turns out, the freeze during export likely corrupted or wiped the edited sequence and that empty/broken state was written into the project. Including the all of the auto-save files

I have tried every recovery technique imaginable with the help of Grok (which is the best troubleshooting assistant I've found to date) - to no avail

Incredibly frustrating/disappointing. I don't have it in me to edit that all over again (yes, I still do all of my own editing)

So that's why there will be no upload tonight 🙃

But rather than spending the night frustrated, I'm going to let it go and enjoy time with my wife. Even when things don't go your way, how you react is always your choice. Life is often just about learning to play the hand you're dealt well and remembering that most of the time, it's not that real
