Brief

@pbteja1998 reports that Paperclip appeared more than a month after his Mission Control post (published 2026-08-07), but he hasn't investigated it and says he 'doesn't care.' He will keep using and iterating his MissionControlHQ.ai workflows. Lokesh Sanapalli (@LSanapalli) asks how Mission Control differs, citing an openclaw-based runtime and custom agents (scraping/querying).

Why it matters

@pbteja1998 says Paperclip launched more than a month after his post about Mission Control and he has not looked into Paperclip (published 2026-08-07 07:36:49+00:00).

Key details

  • He explicitly states he 'doesn't care' about Paperclip and will continue using and improving his existing workflows on MissionControlHQ.ai.
  • Lokesh Sanapalli (@LSanapalli) asked how Mission Control differs from Paperclip, noting Mission Control's agent runtime is 'openclaw'-based and asking whether the main moat is a collection of custom agents (scraping, querying).
Source evidence

Paperclip came more than a month after I posted about Mission Control.

I didn’t get a chance to look into it yet.

So to be really honest, I still don’t know what it does and I don’t care….

I have workflows with MissionControlHQ.ai that works really well for me and I’m going to keep using that and will keep improving that.

I was wondering how does Mission Control different from paperclip ? I know that the agent runtime is openclaw based, but the main moat is collection of your custom agents (scraping, querying) built?
