Brief

Theo (t3.gg) posted on 2026-08-07 to clarify that T3 Code supports users' Claude Code and Codex subscriptions and cannot be paid to use those models. He asserts Anthropic’s ban targets non‑Claude harnesses (e.g., Pi, OpenCode), and urges users to try T3 Code via npx t3@nightly amid confusion from delayed Claude Code policy changes.

Why it matters

Theo (t3.gg) on 2026-08-07: T3 Code works with Claude Code and Codex subscriptions — users bring their own subscription, T3 has no paid access to those models.

Key details

  • Anthropic’s ban applies only to harnesses that aren’t Claude Code (examples cited: Pi, OpenCode); confusion increased after Claude Code policy changes were indefinitely delayed.
  • To try T3 Code with an existing Claude Code or Codex subscription, run the single command: `npx t3@nightly`.
Source evidence

Please help me spread the word about this. People still think Claude Code subs won’t work in apps like T3 Code.

Anthropic’s ban is ONLY harnesses that aren’t Claude Code (see: Pi, OpenCode etc)

T3 CODE WORKS GREAT WITH YOUR CLAUDE CODE AND CODEX SUBSCRIPTIONS

Shouting this because there's a LOT of confusion (esp. around Claude Code due to the policy changes that got indefinitely delayed)

There's no way to pay us to use T3 Code. You bring your own sub. If you have Claude Code or Codex on your machine already, T3 Code is ready to go with a single command.

npx t3@nightly to try it out :)
