Look, I have gotten hyperfocused on hate-reading, too, so I understand.
But I'm reading this fascinating discussion and all I can think is "You learned to read comic books ironically?"
Big Thinker (@BigthinkerBig)
the comics have many different authors, so some put their own spin on depicting the charector.
but technically, and this is kind of gay and an example of how comics are fucking shit. she was not lying, the she hulk that says "why does everyone think i slept with juggernaut?" is earth-616 she hulk, where as the she hulk that slept with jugger naught is earth-A she hulk who traveled to earth-616 and pretended to be that she hulk and slept with jugger naut. they did this because it doesn't fit her characterization that she would hook up with a literal villain.
all of this is autistic hair splitting anyways, because most people haven't read all the different and largely terrible comics, on a general, shallow, premise level, which is what most people are engaging with when they are considering to watch a show or not, the premise of she hulk is that she's a female power fantasy of a woman who can shamelessly enjoy all that life has to offer, her feminineity and her sexuality, because she's an all powerful, super strong, invulnerable super hero and a super successful lawyer. its a celebration of life. so making the tv show about her hating men and being misreble all the time and hating the male gaze doesn't make sense.
