Michigan is just 2.2% Arab, but Arab voters proved decisive. Stevens won non-Arab voters, while El-Sayed’s huge margins in Arab communities powered his victory.
He won the most Arab precincts by ~80 points, and those areas turned out above the statewide Democratic primary rate.
