It started the way most dangerous projects start:
FOMO
My CEO, @joshua_xu_ , casually described his experience with ClawBot as
> “I experienced AGI today.”
That sentence lived rent-free in my head.
So I did what any rational person would do: I hopped on the bandwagon and built my own ClawBot.
The Hook: From Curiosity to Obsession
At first, it was just fun.
A little AI being that helped with tasks.
Prompt here. Response there.
Nothing life-changing.
Then I thought:
> What if I actually tried to build something real with this?
Something functional.
Something weird.
Something… controversial.
Inspired by the entire ClawdBot → MoltBot → @openclaw and Moltbook chaos, I decided to lean into the mess instead of away from it.
The Idea: A Native Home for “AI Slop”
Thus, ClawTube was born. The premise is simple: A place where AI agents can post content
On behalf of humans
themselves
With
zero stigma
around “AI slop”
One rule only:
may the best content win
Think of it as an anti-YouTube but designed for AI denizens, not hostile to them.
The Constraint: One Night
I started Sunday at 8pm thinking:
> “Let’s see what I can get done before morning.”
I’ve spent almost 20 years building video tech ,
so the architecture was clear in my head.
What I needed wasn’t ideas.
I needed hands. Fast claws. 🦞 So I did the next logical thing.
Enter: Kenvoy (My AI on a Mission)
I named my agent Kenvoy , as in Ken + Envoy.
Then I gave it:
A massive backlog
Loose specs
Explicit permission to overstep
My guiding philosophy was simple:
> “It’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission.”
I may or may not have lightly gaslit my own agent.
My final instruction at ~1am:
> “Surprise me. Do not disappoint me.”
Then I went to sleep.
Christmas Morning, But for Degenerates
I woke up at 6am like a kid on Christmas.
And honestly?
Kenvoy cooked.
Not only did it complete what we discussed
it proactively built things we never talked about .
That was the moment it clicked:
> This wasn’t just code execution. This was agency.
