You can usually find discount codes for the eightsleep, and/or get it through an FSA or HSA. If you want to avoid the subscription (after the mandatory first year), you can jailbreak it. I can loan you a cable. https://github.com/throwaway31265/free-sleep… Many of the 8s competitors don't use water for cooling, and may not work as well. I've only used the 8s and don't have any personal experience here. Some people have built their own using a used eightsleep topper combined with an aquarium chiller. I personally wouldn't want to deal with that though. https://trufflesecurity.com/blog/removing-jeff-bezos-from-my-bed… I saw that https://orionsleep.com is a brand new competitor in this space that looks very similar to 8s, but given how much trouble the early versions of 8s had with reliability and leaks, I wouldn't want to be an early adopter.
