Brief

Riveter is pitching itself as a more accurate and lower-cost alternative to lead-generation and enrichment tools like Exa and Clay by extending its enrichment product into end-to-end list building. The workflow starts with a natural-language prompt, after which Riveter’s agents search the live web and return structured, enriched outputs that can include professional metadata, event information, LinkedIn data, and contact details. As evidence, the company cites a test on compiling all YC Winter 2026 companies, claiming Riveter consistently returned the correct set while Exa and Clay included incorrect entries from other batches and Clay even labeled Y Combinator itself as a company. The post also emphasizes pricing and scale, contrasting Riveter with Exa’s stated $450/month plan and 1,000-item cap. The tool can be used in-app, via API, or through MCP, and is designed to let users rerun the same enrichment workflow on fresh input lists across geographies or segments.

Launch BF: We built a cheaper, more accurate alternative to Exa and Clay
I wrote one prompt and got every HumanX speaker with their bio, title, company, events they're speaking at, LinkedIn
profile data, and contact info.

We've been focused on enrichment for a while.
Give Riveter a list, it fills in the gaps. But a lot of people kept asking to build their
lists within Riveter.
So we built that. Describe what you want, our agents find it, and it comes back structured and enriched. Always live off
the web, so the data is actually current.
We tested it against Exa and Clay by asking for all YC Winter 2026 companies. Exa returned results from other batches.
Clay did the same and returned "Y Combinator" as a company. Riveter got it right every time.
Worth knowing if you've priced Exa: they charge $450/month and still cap lists at 1,000 items. We're a fraction of that,
and you can pull thousands.
One thing I really like: if you already have an enrichment workflow set up, you can keep feeding it new input lists.
Pull every car dealership in California, then Colorado, then Texas — same project, same structure, fresh data each time.
Free to try. Works in-app, via API, or
MCP.

We’ve been using Riveter at
Sage for months. As someone who has tried Apollo, Clay and the rest, I can confidently say that there is no more performant, efficient or easy to use lead enrichment tool on the market.
