Daylight's LivePaper is a new e-paper display (announced 2024-05-25) that achieves 60–120 FPS by moving ink particles side-to-side instead of lengthwise, trading classic e-ink bistability for speed. The six-year project uses subwavelength micro-reflective silver geometries to diffuse light while preserving polarization; the tablet runs full apps (ChatGPT, Notion, Google Docs), stylus input, and a Humane-style OS.
