Modo Energy introduced the ME BESS AUS NEM Index on 2025-02-12 to provide a transparent, reproducible measure of average revenue per megawatt for grid-scale batteries in Australia’s NEM. The index accompanies a Modo Energy terminal for asset-level analysis and is timed as ~16 GW of new storage projects target commissioning by 2027; Modo notes 350+ global customers for its BESS indices.
