HighGrip Extreme 20 kV mitt protectors are a lineman-grade glove protector updated in fall 2019 to be AR/FR-rated to 28 cal and ANSI cut level 2; they add a Kevlar layer between silicone and leather, a leather wrist strap, and a redesigned thumb. Reviewer Bob (17-year lineman) tested knife and torch resistance, used them for a month in −30°C, and reports good durability and improved dexterity.
