DC NextG is Defcon’s youth program that embeds young attendees into conference villages via hands-on workshops and a coordinated CTF. The IRCTF wristband is a self-contained IR transmit/receive badge with 12 randomized identities (plus staff, village, special and secret badges) and village‑scoring cues; organizers publish workshop/badge content (CircuitPython) and recommend ages 11–17.
