DARPA and ARPAH's AI Cyber Challenge (AICC) is a two-year program that prizes automated cyber-reasoning systems capable of finding and patching vulnerabilities; final winners were announced at DEF CON (published 2025-07-23) with $4M/$3M/$1.5M awards. Semi-final results showed real-world automated patching, and teams will open-source tools and release competition data and visualizations to accelerate sector adoption.
