DEF CON Franklin, led by Jake Braun and Jeff Moss, will publish an annual Hacker Almanac capturing top research from Defcon villages and interviews with speakers, and run a curated volunteer program to secure under-resourced infrastructure (local election offices, K–12 schools, rural water utilities). The program emphasizes hand-holding matches to implement basics (MFA, password changes) and aims to brief Congress and global capitals.
