Brief

Author @godofprompt used Claude Fable 5 to generate a walkable 3D Kyoto neighborhood in Three.js that runs in the browser (published 2026-06-11). The scene includes a connected grid of alleys, intersections and plazas with machiya townhouses, stone lanterns, cherry blossoms, paper lanterns, and a visible pagoda. Controls: WASD to walk, mouse to look, golden hour/night toggle; two prompts were used and some areas remain disjointed.

Source evidence

I had Claude Fable 5 build a walkable 3D Kyoto neighborhood in Three.js. Runs in the browser.

It's not a single street. There's a connected grid of alleys, intersections, and plazas you can actually wander through. Machiya townhouses, stone lanterns, cherry blossoms, paper lanterns glowing at dusk. A pagoda visible above the rooflines from different streets.

Golden hour and night mode toggle. WASD to walk. Mouse to look around.

Took two prompts. One for the initial build, one to fix the layout so it wasn't a straight corridor. Some areas still feel disconnected and disjointed, but for a browser-rendered 3D neighborhood from two prompts, it's not bad.
