Helped a client decide between a camel and chocolate suede jacket. Both suited him. We went with chocolate
- Chocolate matches a wider variety of colours and is very easy to throw on top of any outfit
- Chocolate makes it very easy to achieve balanced visual weight bc the colour has more depth (dark pants, light shirt and dark jacket) - simple combo that always works!!
- Camel you won’t get the same contrast and can sometimes look a bit off with dark on the bottom and all light on the top. Likewise, if you wear all dark then have a light jacket on top - it’s not always cohesive. Basically it just takes more effort to style
- Chocolate you can see the texture of the suede more and it will age beautifully
He will buy a similar camel jacket in another fabric but ultimately for his $1000 investment he wanted a suede jacket that he could throw on with any outfit that will age beautifully
