GitHub Copilot has been upgraded into a terminal-based full agent that can plan multi-step workflows, modify code, execute tests, and iterate automatically until tasks finish. Announced by @dr_cintas on 2026-06-13, the release adds cross-session memory, locally run voice input, and a /fleet feature for parallel subagents, and is available on all Copilot plans, including Free.
