the people yearn to be outside
> get off your couch
> say YES to things even if you're tired
> practice the art of talking to strangers in public
> create elements of slowness in your day to easily strike up a convo
> stay a little longer than you might typically
> take out your headphones to be open to the moments of connection around you
> smile at the barista, chat with a stranger in the grocery store line, text old friends, call your parents, find strangers to play volleyball with
> be genuinely curious about the people around you
underrated key to a joyful life is live like the possibility of connection is all around you
to walk out your door EXCITED to see what it has to offer
magic around every corner
you got this!!!

Moving to NYC saved my life. Those daily 12+ hours of bedrotting and doom scrolling while living in the suburbs have been replaced with going outside, long walks, talking to strangers, taking photos, drawing at parks...
I feel like I’m 18 again (I’m almost 30)
