Really good summary of what’s going on around here ☺️

major updates from Cursor!
here's everything I learned at Cursor Cafe Dubai today:
GENERAL
- they scale new hires like crazy (1,000ish people now)
- strong weekly release schedule with new features
- the new Bugbot is freaking incredible
- faster, cheaper, and runs without pull requests!
- canvas are super powerful when used right (can confirm)
CLOUD
- cloud is the future, and they're doubling down
- more autonomy, more verification, more complex tasks
- cloud has a learning curve, takes about 3 months
- nick (employee #26) now uses more cloud than local
- the goal is a software factory that needs fewer/no humans
- Cursor hopes to bring other OS (Windows/macOS) to cloud too
- new cloud/local hand-off is even more powerful then before
- multi-task is now also available in the cloud
COMPOSER
- a new version of composer is coming soon
- there might be another surprise before Composer 3 👀
- a really big one expected this year (also announced at Compile this week)
- tons of compute thanks to Elon which leads to insane results
CURSOR ORIGIN
- direct competitor to GitHub/GitLab
- optimized for PRs made by AI agents
- much more accessible for product/marketing people
- available later this year, waitlist open now
COST
- Cursor is continually trying to find way to provide more tokens at a lower cost for its users, especially within their own models
amazing event, thanks for having me!
