my narcissistic mother uses it to get secrets out of people
if she notices that someone is hiding information from her -
she makes an outlandish claim or accusation at the person. The person immediately defends themselves, inadvertantly spilling the beans XD

Btw you can get probabilities out of medical personnel, you just need to fling absurd numbers at them
